THE BERTHA ANOLIC MEMORIAL FINE ARTS ISRAEL TRAVEL AWARD
LOOKING BACK: An Afterword - A RETROSPECTIVE GROUP EXHIBITION
In Spring of 2002 The Temple Judea Museum celebrated more than twenty years of this competition with a retrospective exhibition of the work of past winners. The exhibition included a look back at why these artists wanted to travel to Israel and considered how the trip affected their artwork, or, possibly, career and/or personal lifestyle choices they subsequently made.
“In no small measure I can attribute the success of my illuminated manuscript to the artists, designers and scholars – and their art, craftsmanship and zeal - I met with on my Anolic scholarship travel in Israel” Jonathan Kremer, 1985 winner
PARTICIPATING ARTISTS: Judith Friedlander Bell, Alyse Bernstein, Emmie Goldenbaum, David Goodman, Cheryl Harper, Tamar Klausner, Jonathan Kremer, Erica Lehrer, Ruth Pomerantz, Laurie Fanger Reed, Ben Rosenberg, Rachel Sherman, Rivkah Walton
