KI Fights WWII
In our last presentations we covered how KI dealt with the Depression years.
KI focused on our own economic health, assisted our members and neighbors
in Philadelphia; was active in inter-faith activities to combat antisemitism, and
slowly came to grips with the on-coming tide of war.
This presentation will cover KI activities during WWII, when over 500 KI men
and women served in the armed services, including one of our rabbis, and those
at home were engaged in a whole host of volunteer activities. Yet life at KI was
remarkably stable as we focused on international events, the future of Palestine,
and the fate of Jews throughout the world.
