Shalom!
As we conclude another incredible summer at Camp Harlam, we want to thank you for your ongoing support. The relationship between camp and the congregations in our region are critical to our growth, development, and success. We wanted to share some important information with you as we now shift our focus to planning for the upcoming off-season and summer.
Camp Registration
Registration for Summer 2024 is open for returning families and will open for new camp families on September 1. Please share the graphic attached and refer them to our Dates/Rates page to learn more about summer program offerings including Intro Experience, 3 ½ and 7-week programs, and to register.
Fall Taste of Camp
This fun-filled weekend (October 14-15) for future campers in grades 2-4 will help them build confidence and readiness for their first overnight camp experience. Registration is open and space is limited. For more information and to register: https://campharlam.org/future-camper-events/
Fall Fest
We are holding our 2nd Annual Fall Fest (October 22) at camp. Fall Fest is a community-wide event for current and future camp families, Harlam alumni, and friends of camp. This open-house program will include tours, camp activities, food (lunch and canteen), and more. A save the date is attached and more information including registration will be shared soon.
Planning for 2023-2024
Our professional staff looks forward to working with you throughout the year to help your community connect and reconnect to camp by partnering to promote URJ summer programs, building and strengthening relationships with current and future camp families, and supporting educational and other opportunities in your congregations and the greater Jewish community. Each congregation in the region has been assigned a relationship manager on our year-round team who will be in touch with you in the fall to both look back (ex. enrollment trends, summer successes and challenges) and look ahead towards planning for the upcoming year (ex. congregational visits, virtual programming, pipeline building, parent ambassadors).
Faculty Applications
Summer faculty are central to creating a positive and meaningful Jewish experience for our camp community by supporting campers, CITs, and staff. For those interested in serving in a faculty role next summer, the application will be available in early October. If you have any questions in the meantime, please contact Ellie Tepper Schulman, Associate Director, at etepper@urj.org or 610-668-0423.
Want to hear from us?
To ensure that camp communications are getting to the appropriate people at your congregation, please do the following at your earliest convenience (and share with anyone else who would like to get our communications as well):
• If you need help doing this, contact the Knowledge Network by emailing: URJ1800@urj.org. They will send an outward facing link for congregations to update information.
Please contact Rachel Steinberg, Manager of New Family Engagement and Community Outreach, at Rsteinberg@URJ.Org or 610-668-0423 with any questions.
Thank you for your partnership!
