HAZAK: Keeping KI Strong . . . Today and Tomorrow!
When we conclude reading a book of the Torah, there is a custom for those present to exclaim: “Hazak, Hazak, v'Nithazek, Be Strong, Be Strong and Let Us Strengthen One Another!” KI has always been a strong synagogue and we want to sustain that for future generations.
In that spirit, we have launched Hazak, our first major campaign in ten years.
The goals of the Hazak are simple but important.
1. To establish the Rabbinic Chair to honor Rabbi Lance J. Sussman and provide ongoing support for our KI rabbis.
2. To enhance our extensive programming so that it can continue to provide meaningful opportunities for our members and the greater community — at every age and interest level — to learn, explore and make a difference.
3. To modernize and improve our large, multipurpose building so that it remains the central venue that o ers opportunities for our members and our community of all faiths to gather together.
Just as we inherited a strong KI from those who for decades have supported our congregation, Hazak will enable us to maintain that strength and continue as a vital resource for our members and our community.
