Adult Education: IQ Zoo with Marilyn Wittenstein

Keneseth Israel 2018 Adult Education

Monday, October 29, 10:30 a.m.

MARILYN WITTENSTEIN This talk will be about a couple who studied under Skinner and started a zoo in Arkansas where they trained animals. Raccoons played basketball and a chicken played the piano etc.  Next, I tell about animals and their different powers to act as spies from the 1200's to present times.

IQ Zoo was opened in Hot Springs, Arkansas by 2 graduate students who studied under Skinner, a psychologist. They never met an animal that could not be trained. The talk includes animals as spies.  I grew up in the Bronx, near the Yankee Stadium. Attended CCNY, Acadia for Masters plus 60 extra credits to become a Senior Career Teacher in the Phila. School System. Taught in The Mentally Gifted Program and loved every minute of it.
