JQuest is religious school re-imagined for families of Elkins Park, Abington, Philadelphia, Upper Dublin, Lower Moreland and beyond. Keeping the same goals for Bar and Bat Mitzvah that existed in the Hebrew schools of the previous decades, JQuest uses 21st century educational research to ensure students learn more, dig deeper, and have a more fun, engaging experience.  JQuest focuses on community, creating Jewish memories, and building Jewish relationships.

At JQuest we help kids bring Jewish learning to life in the following way:

Jewish Life: Using project-based learning students work together to learn about Jewish history, customs, and traditions.  At JQuest they generate individual meaning, explore their creative passions, and have experiential opportunities to achieve grade-level curriculum goals with guidance from clergy and teachers.

Prayer and Holiday Study: Students explore the foundations of Jewish life through regular child-focused T’fillot (prayer) led by our clergy each week, as well as the foundations of holiday rituals in the home and synagogue.

Hebrew Study: JQuest is a Hebrew rich environment.  Each week students learn a letter and word of the week and our younger students participate in Hebrew through Movement, an interactive aural Hebrew program.  After gaining a strong aural foundation older students begin to decode (sounding out letters to form words) in small groups to achieve mastery based on their own learning needs.

We are committed to ensuring a positive experience for your family, providing support for all kinds of learners and welcoming all families seeking to raise a Jewish child.  We strive to ensure that KI is a Jewish organization committed to diversity, equity and inclusion.

JQuest has earned national accreditation from the Association of Reform Jewish Educators.
