DR. RANDY ROSENBERG MD FAAN FACP, Associate Professor of Neurology at Temple University

The challenges confronted by professional musicians can be daunting even when a performer possesses the dwarfing talent and enduring reputation of Louis Armstrong. This presentation will discuss the threat to the wellbeing of players that can impact the lives and wellbeing of great talent whether on or off the stage.Dr. Rosenberg is a retired neurologist with a continued faculty appointment in the Temple Hospital Department of.   Neurology. He can lay claim to a 50+ year history of playing flute in classical ensembles, Irish sessions and jazz groups. Dr. Rosenberg has given multiple seminars on music, the brain and the neuroscience of music processing, musical appreciation and disorders of musical interpretation. A knowledge of music or brain function is not necessary to enjoy this discussion.
