KI Music Arts 24-25 Season!

KI Community Family Concerts continues its celebration of our 25th Anniversary! The 2024/25 Season opens on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at 2PM with the Ruth G. Kahn Memorial Concert. The KI Music Arts Committee continues our exploration of the Golden Age of Broadway in our annual Broadway/Opera concert. This year we present songs from Rodgers and Hammerstein’s The King and I, Carousel, The Sound of Music, South Pacific; Bernstein’s On The Town, West Side Story; Herman’s Milk and Honey, and more, but with an added twist: This year, we are featuring a small children’s choir to sing along (in the appropriate songs from the Broadway selections) with the four soloists from Opera Philadelphia!

On Sunday, November 17, 2024 at 2PM, the Main Line Symphony Orchestra returns to KI with an All American Program and special guest Jamie Bernstein, daughter of legendary composer/conductor/pianist Leonard Bernstein!

Program: Overture to Candide Leonard Bernstein; Concerto for violin Samuel Barber

with guest violin soloist Marc Ravetti from The Philadelphia Orchestra; With Malice Toward None John Williams, from the movie, Lincoln;

On Saturday, April 26,2025, at 2PM the Main Line Symphony Orchestra returns to present the Annual Cheryl Beth Silverman Memorial Concert.

Program: Toccata and Fugue in d minor J.S. Bach (trans. L. Stokowski); Haydn Oboe Concerto soloist Richard Woodhams, retired, Principal Oboe, The Philadelphia Orchestra; Symphony #2 J.Sibelius.
