SCANDALOUS

DR. PHYLLIS GOTKIN

Scandalous is a presentation that discusses the change in morality on three continents over 1100 years. Pictures of works of art are shown to illustrate these changes. Some were not accepted then, and are now; some were accepted then, but are not accepted today; some have never changed.   Phyllis Gotkin graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and received her PhD in 1986. She taught hematology for forty- five years. The last venue was adjunct at Thomas Jefferson University. She has been a tour guide at the Phila. Museum of Art for 18 years.  All works of art are from the PMA, and she was the photographer for most of the works.
