The ways we communicate have completely changed since the pandemic. We are holding hands over zoom, we are putting hopeful messages on our sidewalk with chalk, we are honking and yelling out of our cars for celebrations, and we are meeting each other outside, from a distance.
In an “unmute yourself” kind of world, where we feel far away from each other, there’s proof that we are hearing each other at a higher volume and stronger intensity. While the distance between us and our internet speed keeps us from always hearing as clearly and consistently, we are tuning to what is important to our community.
We at KI are finding ways to be together over zoom, by phone/text, outside, socially distanced with masks like at the Vigil, over Facebook Live , on our website and on our stream, and hopefully you also received the bulletin this week by mail! We have been reaching out to each other in every communication method possible.
Tonight at 7:00 p.m., we will join together in our annual meeting which we have been doing as a congregation in person for decades. This is our first zoom annual meeting! At this meeting we will celebrate “KIndness” in a musical way, how we, as a congregation have remained strong and connected through this time. We have a requirement of needing at least 50 people there, and usually we are a little nervous about that number. Since, tonight it is over zoom, we are looking forward to seeing you ALL there!!!
Please also join us for BINGO FOR A CAUSE on Tuesday, June 16th at 6:30 p.m. on ZOOM! $36 per household benefits: KI Members in Need, Future HaMotzi Dinners/Pantry, Lowell Elementary School Families, Abington Interfaith Food Cupboard, LaMott AME Church Pantry, Willow Grove Baptist Pantry, Cheltenham School Families In Need.
